Have you tried this: 7z d archive.zip *.nfo -r The help file never puts switches before the archive, and the recursive switch (-r) always seems to be placed last. Hope this helps.

WinRAR has a "Reuse existing window" setting, which gives WinRAR the behaviour that Seipherwood is talking about. 7-Zip doesn't currently have this setting (since it doesn't have that functionality... yet) Basically, 7zFM.exe would need to check the setting, if it is enabled, tell any existing 7zFM.exe process to open the archive. If it is disabled, using the existing behaviour to open the archive.
