I want to plot a Poincare section on an orbit. I have seen an example in "MATCONT and CL MATCONT: Continuation toolboxes in matlab" and it is said that "The NS point can be used as a starting point for the computation of a discrete orbit in the Poincar´e section (called DO in the GUI) for a slightly decreased value...". They give the attached figure, however, I don't understand how to get the red Poincare section. Can anyone show me that one by one step? Thank you very much.
Thank you very much. I reinstall my Matlab and the button works.
Dear Hil Meijer, Thank you for your help. Actually, I reinstalled Matcont the day before yesterday because of the error. I think there is some problem in my code, so I tried the example Lorenz84 in your paper according to your instruction step by step, however, 'Select|Initial point' is still not available. Best regards, Yanqiu
I have obtained some curves, however, 'Select|Initial point' is not available.
Matlab R2016a & Matcont6p11. When I click Select|Initial point, nothing happened except for the error.
When I select one special point as initial point by ‘(matcont):Select|Initial point’, the following error appears: Error: File: select_point.m Line: 167 Column: 9 You cannot index a function using the {} or . index. Error calculating Menu Callback How to solve the problem? Thanks.
