We are experiencing slow application response times and I've used AppDynamics to track the slowness down to net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.SharedSocket.readPacket() method. And by slow response I'm talking 22 seconds or more. Its not always happening though. It is spring app using JPA/Hibernate to SQLServer. Database side monitoring tools aren't showing a problem there. What exactly is happening on readPacket() and what would that mean if it was slow? Does it mean TONS of data being streamed back? Does...
