Hi, I think rather than a document how to translate from PICAXE BASIC to GCBASIC, there ought to be an app that does that since the PIN definitions are explicit in PICAXE BASIC translating to GCBASIC should be fairly straight forward. For a newbie to GCBASIC like myself, I can't wait to get into the "demo" code and start learning GCBASIC, but I have hundreds of PICAXE BASIC programs I'd like to translate over to GCBASIC, but I also have new programs to develop so spending hours manually translating...

Thanks for the info. I guess I need to learn the PIC18F27Q43 chip PINs ... what PINs are for Serial I/O, what PINs are PWM, what PINs are ADC, what PINs are I2C etc. The PICAXE manual had nice graphics that I used for reference when scribbling my programs. I use one PIN for hserout to send data to a SpeakJet chip for talking and singing; Tapper Sings "I Gotta Get Me Some" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ic9aR1kmu74 Then I use another PIN to send serial data to a Pololu Maestro Servo Controller for...

Thinking about PIC chips that have tons of PINs for larger projects, then maybe there could even be a combo-emulator program to build an emulator where the user chooses between Altair 8800, Apple II+ and maybe even another one or two vintage computers. Have it all in one chip. Just tossing the challenge out there, since I'm new to GCBASIC and not nearly knowledgeable enough to do this myself. OTOH, I would love to build a kit similar to the Altair-Duino that had blinking LEDs for all the emulators...

Hi, I am brand new to GCBASIC. I come from the PICAXE users world. What I'm looking for is actual code samples that show the PICAXE serout C.1,T4800_4,(132,5,112,46) PICAXE command serout, PIN C.1, BAUD 4800, Data (132,5,112,46) converted to a GCBASIC example. Simple lines of code in GCBASIC to do the same job from header, declarations to program end.

Hi, I am wondering if anybody here has assembled a working Altair 8800 emulator from the GitHub files? https://github.com/dhansel/Altair8800 I also want to know if the emulator can be used to program a PIC18F27Q43 chip? Another emulator I want on a PIC18F27Q43 is for the Apple II (II or II+ or II/e or IIGS etc.) I am completely new to GCBASIC ... so I'm just starting to learn how to convert my PICAXE BASIC programs over to GCBASIC, but I also need to learn about programming the PIC18F27Q43 chips...

Hi, I am brand new to GCBASIC. I come from the PICAXE users world. I hate reading all the forum arguments that are going nowhere. The first response should be an example solution.
