Hi Crazycat, wondering if crazyscan has been tested on 4K graphics and monitor. Gettng the following issue ..see screen shot.

My Mistake Crazycat, I am confusing the 6903 with the 6903X...Why they name them so similar with different chip is beyond me. The 6903 is no longer available and it is the X version that is that is has a hopelessly slow blind scan . UPDATE: 18/9/24 The TBS5927 USB is the only TBS product being sold that uses the STV0910 chip that the TBS6983 uses. I note too the specs for the SR of theTBS5927 goes from 0.2 to 45Msps which is good for low sr's too. It only has 1 Tuner and is USB unfortunately. But...

I discovered the TBS 6983 in Crazyscan carrier search Bscan finds the TP OK, its just unreliable in RF then Bscan2. Screen shots shown. As for the TBS6902 card I cannot get any of the 3 TP's to show by any method in crazyscan even though Direct tune 4196MHz Sr 1415 did but not the lower SR's. As for ebspro with Bscan2 unticked for BScan mode, it is slow and will scan OK but again not showing any of the 3 TP's in question but will show other TP's OK.

  • Solarpoweredwok Solarpoweredwok modified a comment on discussion General Discussion

Ahh OK. Using a TBS6983 card Crazyscan, Bscan2 however will find the transponders with a step of 0.1MHz and span of 4100-4200MHz but unstable sometime 2 TP's 4195 and 4196 and othertimes 1 TP 4198MHz. Trying Direct tune by unticking BScan in carrier search, setting SR manually to TP SR. IT found the TP OK. So Direct Tune worked.

I see on the Wiki here the TBS 6903 uses the same Chips set base as the old favourite 6983 yet the 6903 is very very very slow at doing a blind scan. Why is this ?

Here is a TBS6902 result of a Direct Tune with Ebspro on one of the Low SR TP's 4196H SR 1415. To show Direct Tune works on this card but streamreader in BScan or BScan2 mode does not for this TP. The other 2 TPs at SR 520 and 400 would not tune.

Direct scan in Carrier search with Bscan unticked sr manually set to min =100 and also cannot find the 3 TP's in question. 4195, 4196 and 4198MHz on the 6902 despite shifting up and down a few 100 KHz. Hi Crazycat, PART RESULTS OF TEST FILE. Remote PC offline atm to test on the 6983 card will test tomorrow as he is asleep now :) However see my comment below re Carrier search issue. Now, Testing with my 6902 showed no change in crazyscan. No TP's 4195, 4196 and 4198 show up. Using manually the Carrier search/constellation it too could not find any of the TP's in question. I've note the Carrier search is still a min of 1M for SR and search range. Can we drop them both to 100KHz. Cheers

Hi Crazycat, Yes, however same specs for SR on a TBS6983 as is the TBS6902 for the low end. My remote in testing of the TBS6983 fit tunes and locks all 3 close TPs in ALTDVB and DVBDREAM in BDA mode. However in Crazyscan sometimes 1TP of the 3 comes up, other time 2 of them but never 3. So something is slightly a miss. Hopefully your update fixes it As for my TBS6902 Signal strength of my 6902 at my Location on another TP is about 1db less SNR to the location of the TBS6983 in EbsPro but still good...

OK, Well DVBDream in BDA mode will not tune 4196H . However my Vu+Duo2 Rx can and able to view channel. This could be telling me there is a bug in the TBS 6902 or its confused having 2 other TP's 1MHz either side of 4196H. Thanks for that insight bdadvb2. Using crazyscan Carrier search and Constellation monitoring my TBS6902 card shows Modcode/Detect button greyed out. Refer Attached screen shot. I will try again with my TBS 5922SE. I was looking for a way to prove if ACM/VVM is correct or not based on what my mate Craig is messaging me.

Hi Crazycat, Additional info from my source re the ACM issue noticed on Optus D2 which should be CCM. Transponder 12395H 30,000 32APSK. Refer EBSPro Card used is a TBS6983 that normally has no issues. I realize you prob cant see Optus D2 hence the screen shot. This link may be of interest for you too. I dont use Transedit or DVBviewer so cant comment. However info of issues could be beneficial to making streamreader better. https://www.satclub.pl/15-0-w-telstar-12-f94/pasmo-ku-15-0-w-telstar-12-...

I put my 5930 away years ago. Dragged it back out to try with latest win driver and streamreader yesterday as saw on crazycats working list . Though it blindscans transponders in EBSPRo it takes quite a time to do so compared to my 5920SE and 6902. In Signal Analyser BS mode says don't support Blind Scan. It is listed in Wiki of working devices under Montage M88RS6060 based chipset but not sure if my version uses that. I purchased it in 2021. Taking mine out of its case it has a screen over the RF...

Hi Crazycat, It has come to my attention from a number of sources here in Australia that streamreader may have a bug whereby ACM/VCM is being reported when actually it is CCM in both EBSPro and DVBDream.

Hi Mark, Have you tried to receive it using DVBDream using the 6902 ? Instead of testing with EBSPro try DVBDream. What does DVBDream BScan2 then CH scan that transponder in as, TV or Data ?

Hi Mark, I only use for C-Band and not noticed any issues with no data. My footprint is way over in Australia so i can not receive the Satellites you are having that problem on. Which Satellite is it and are those transponders with no data listed on Lyngsat or just random feeds?

Hi Crazycay. Much improved with v 1.2.5.198 DVBDream now working again in BScan2 EBSPro also OK with Signal Analyser BT mode. Some small issues in both. For DVBDream v3.7.1 PERFECT except for the SNR issue with API in streader that we know about. Still no response for anyone on the developers forum. As for DVBDream 3.7.2 Performing an RF scan initially is Good with dbm RF levels correct, however if followed by BSCan2 the RF curves are pushed off the top of the Graph and the RF Levels scale is in...

Good Find Crazycat, We are making progress. Your remote login debug to my PC was useful for you. Your suggestion worked and EBSPro now Blindscans transponders ok now. Signal Analyser is a bit flakey for BS mode only. See Methods below how it fails. Method 1 If you do a transponder scan. Then goto Tools/Sig Anal BS Mode and enter a transponder freq then search it will work many times until you change frequency then it gets lost. Exiting Sig Anal and going back in and it will work again on that freq....

Hi Crazycat, Well strange things happen. I had removed my old TBS5922SE drivers and rebooted but for some odd reason when looking at device manager in Windows it flagged up a hardware change and to reboot yet again, could not identify the change. Now Crazyscan v 1.0.2.185 with Streamreader v 1.2.5.196 works 100% on the TBS6902 However I cannot say the same for EBSPro and DVBDream EBSPro v 18.0.0.4 with streamreader v 1.2.5.196 does an RF scan 100% however a Blindscan of transponders fails to see...

The TBS6902 or any card using the GX1133 Chip does not support RFScan or FFTScan. So even though it will BLScan2 now with TBS 1.0.0.6 windows driver and latest streamreader 1.2.5.196, it will not show RF Level or SNR in any program. Crazyscan refuses to use the card based on not RFScan/FFTScan. EBSPro has fixed meaningless values for RF Level and SNR after a transponder BLScan2 and Signal Analyser only 1/4 functional. DvbDream Will BLScan2 but without RF Level or SNR. Even if DvbDream's streader.dev...
