Hmmm. OK. So a buggy windows update caused it to 'suddenly' occur(?). I don't recall it ever happening before quite lately. I restarted Windows a couple of times since it 'began'. Running as administrator is (at least) some kind of fix ... evidently. Thank you for your input. It is quite explanatory.
Thank you for the prompt reply. I have determined if I run 7zip as admin, no problem, no error. What 'threw me' is this has not been an issue before. Just 'suddenly' started happening ... on 5 machines.
7-Zip (64 bits) Igor Pavlov 19.0.0.0 Windows 10 Pro -64 Using GUI, if I try to zip a folder at C:\, I get Access Denied error. Happens on all 4 of my Windows 10 computers. The attachment shows it all, ... I hope.
It updates fine ... TODAY. Thank you ... love PNOTES.
I get the same error. Killing the process, closing Pnotes, restarting does not help. Maybe I need to download the new version instead of using the PNOTES notification? Your suggestions all close PNOTES ... before I get the d/l. EDIT: If I d/l the new version, do I need to delete the current installation first or will the new ver overwrite the old ... with preservation?

not without this.
Never had this problem before. Screen shots tell the story:
