Hi Ilia, relative_redir=1 seems to have solved the Save button issue, thanks . The only issue left is redirect to https://webmin.example.com:10000 after login. Solved easily by deleting :10000 and pressing Enter , but I have to do it after each login, so it looks like a bug. Here is my Virtualhost config: <VirtualHost *:443> DocumentRoot /var/www/html/example.com ServerName webmin.example.com SSLEngine On SSLProxyEngine On SSLCertificateFile /etc/webmin/letsencrypt-cert.pem SSLCertificateKeyFile...

Hi, is there any ETA for the this issue or a temporary fix?

  • Dmitry Ogurtsov Dmitry Ogurtsov posted a comment on ticket #5120

Okay, I've found the problem, smartctl was just installed in a different path. For those with similar problems - just change install path form /usr/local to /usr. Anyway, now everything works, thanks for help.

I use Ubuntu server 18.04 LTS, so the latest version from Ubuntu repository is smartctl 6.6 2016-05-31 r4324. I nerver tried r4594, maybe the issue is already solved there. According to Christian Franke from smartmontools (link): the problem is that this drive requires that the broadcast namespace is specified if SMART/Health and Error Information logs are requested. This issue was unspecified in early revisions of the NVMe standard. Option -d nvme,0xffffffff should no longer be necessary with smartctl...

The first fix worked for me (this one: https://github.com/webmin/webmin/commit/8f5e734c9ca5704979d83bfdacf4f695334881b5) The drive is identified by webmin, shows some info, but wen it comes to SMART data gives an error: Read NVMe SMART/Health Information failed: NVMe Status 0x6002, it's the same error if simply run sudo smartctl -x /dev/nvme0n1 According to this ticket, I've updated smartmontools to the latest version 6.7 and after update, when I run sudo smartctl -x /dev/nvme0n1, it works okay,...

BTW, there is the same problem when you login webmin from moble devices: after entering user/password, the redirect goes to https://webmin.example.com:10000/sysinfo.cgi?xnavigation=1 I guess, the reason is the same.

You are right, apache just proxies miniserv. Actually I found out that this problem is present not only within Apache module, but in ALL Save buttons in all modules and menus of Webmin. It looks like 10000 port is hardcoded in a button code, there should some return URL. In all other aspects, except this button problem, Webmin via proxy works fine. If use 192.168.0.110:10000 to access webmin, the Save buttons works fine.

I have a similar issue with WEBMIN 1.900 in Apache service: so my my webmin is available at domain https:\webmin.example.com everything works fine, but when I edit the virtual hosts the link corrutps the following way: before editing: https://webmin.example.com/apache/virt_index.cgi?virt=433&xnavigation=1 after pressing "Save" the changes are actually saved but there is endless process indication on a Save button, because it's trying to return to a wrong return link: https://webmin.example.com/apache/:10000/apache/virt_index.cgi?virt=433&xnavigation=1...

Nope, webmin still identifies it as /dev/nvme0n1 I tried to refresh modules and restart webmin service. Maybe we can try to hardcode /dev/nvme0 to see if it works, and then see why "IF " doesnt return the correct drive. I dont fully understand syntax, so I cant do it myself, pls help

Hi I've encountered similar problem at Ubuntu 18.04 server, and after consulting with smartmontools support I found out that although smartctl -x /dev/nvme0n1 reads only a part of data from drive but gives an error trying to read actual smart data: Read NVMe SMART/Health Information failed: NVMe Status 0x6002 But if I use , smartctl -x /dev/nvme0the output is full and without errors. Unfortunately, it doenst help me with Webmin as I cannot change /dev/nvme0n1 to /dev/nvme0 anyway in webmin SMART...
