Hello I have a 11 state variable system analysed with respect to one active parameter. After continuation and obtaining bifurcation points I am attempting to find limit cycles. I have initialized my system at a Hopf bifurcation and to find limit cycles. After computing a few limit cycles, I get the following message 'Current step size too small ' And no more limit cycles are computed. I have tried increasing stepsizes and tolerances. But the error persists. I have tried to initialize at the last...

Neutral saddle Error using cont>ParseCommandLine (line> 715) error in parameters, see help Error in cont (line 39) [cds.curve, x0, v0, opt] = ParseCommandLine(varargin{:}); Error in cont_lc (line 23) [xlc, vlc, slc, hlc, flc] = cont(@limitcycle,x0,v0,opt); I am continuing from a Hopf point in order to obtain limit cycles. But at some of the Hopf Points, the above message is displayed. I do not undertand the error. Also, at some Hopf points it says step size too small and stops computing limit cycles....

When we continue the system we have from a Hopf bifurcation point detected by matcont, we get MaxNumPoints number of limit cycles and one limit point cycle. I went through the manuals, but my confusion persists. Is limit point cycle different from limit point 'of' cycle? I understand that limit point of cycle is a fold bifurcation on a limit cycle. But the matcont message shows 'limit point cycle'. What exactly does that indicate?

I try to continue from a Hopf point when I encounter an error. The error says: Undefined function or variable 'BVP_LC_jac'. This c file is present in the same directory, yet matlab is unable to recognize it? How do I fix this? One important change i've made is to make the choice not to calculate the first Lyapunov coefficient for the Hopf bifurcation, because my system is unable to deal with complex numbers ( as I use atan2 ), which are inherent in the process of calculating the coefficient. So I...
