Okay, I replaced the bootx64.efi file with your fork. The error still occurs. It would not be able to write a log to a filesystem as it's running from a read only filesystem. Unfortunately this machine doesn't have working serial output and it doesn't look like Refind's logging is particularly flexible - although I could be wrong.

The lack of up to date sources means that a lot of Linux users are using the out of date p7zip from 2016, as well.

How does make dist work?

For anyone else finding this, it was fixed in https://sourceforge.net/p/minidlna/git/ci/06ee114731612462eb1eb1266f0431ccf59269d2, and released in 1.3.0, while some distros may have backported the fix to 1.2.1 (Debian)

Also getting this error with a PIONEER BD-RW BDR-XS06. I was able to rip successfully with this drive using EAC.
