The differences between official 3.5 and Hydra 3.5 are visual differences. The 3.5 designation is the general version of HackerOS, while Hydra and official are different editions. In this case, you have visual differences. Wayland? I think you meant Plasma-Wayland. Hacker mode is used to run games (something like Lutris), but if you see something broken, I know I'll fix it.
