Hi Andy The alsa force-reload worked as a workaround. That has sound back for now. Thanks for looking into it. Hopefully you can find the root cause. I did see many articles on the web about similar issues, but none of the fixes worked for me. Interestingly, I wiped and re-installed Mint just in case that was the issue, on the old installation the force-reload would crash cinnamon. On this fresh install, it has worked as it should.
