I realized maybe I was not very clear : When first line of a page is "<!DOCTYPE html"> all french accentuated letters are OK. When first line is like the second image shows, they appear as "?". How can I change this first line ? Thanks V.

Hello, I use Kompozer. Now in french. If I look at different pages I created, some have first lign : "<!DOCTYPE html"> then I have no problem with these pages, french letters (à, é, è etc.) are OK in my browser. Other pages first line is :
