hello all! As I need a way to transfer the container from the PC to a file server, I thought of this (although the file size may put constraints on amount of data): I am currently using FreeFileSync to backup all current data (have not tried a veracrypt containier yet) daily and it works great. I know I can take a veracrypt container off my PC, copy it to a usb drive and open it there with VeraCrypt portable, and even move the container to another PC, opening and adding data without fail, then move...
This is the same question I have. I hope someone has an answer
I think I am excited about having the ability to rescue a veracrypt container,,,, howerver, I am not understanding the steps yiou outlined. Can you please create a small video or a 'concrete' step-by-step tutorial on this? I want to encorporate the use of VeraCrypt at work, but am fearful staff will forget their password. Hate to tell them "too bad". If I had a 'fail-safe' to rescue them I'd feel much better. Again, if you could outline steps I would be very appreciative
Hello! I am very excited to use Veracrypt. I would like a way to 'archive' the container regularly to protect in event of PC failure. Can I copy the 'encrypted file container' to network drive for safe-keeping? I do not plan on opening across a network. I just want to protect the data if a hard drive crashes, laptop is stolen, etc. Thanks for any responses
