Danke, ich habe es geschafft, OpenJDK 8 zu installieren - mit Hindernissen ;-) https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=851667 (und etliche weitere) und nach dem update-alternatives --config-java weiß die Kiste auch, dass es installiert ist ;-) und MyTourbook startet. Habe eben den ersten Track importiert - der Kaltbründlberg (508 m) im Lainzer Tiergarten (Wien) sieht im Profil aus, als hätte ich das Matterhorn erklommen ;) Habe übrigens jetzt erst gesehen, dass es 2 Downloadseiten gibt,...

Danke, ich versuche mal rauszufinden, ob es für meine Debian-Version auch ein Java 8 gibt (und was nach dem Update alles nicht mehr funktionieren wird ;-)) Welche MyTourbook Version würde noch mit meiner Java-Version funktionieren?

Da ich beim Backup meines Notebooks über eine alte Version von MyTourbook (13.xx) gestolpert bin, dachte ich mir, ich probiere das jetzt wieder aus und habe die aktuelle Version installiert (alte Installation davor beseitigt). Leider startet das Programm nur bis zum Splashscreen und verabschiedet sich dann mit dem Tipp, ich solle das Logfile lesen.
