I'm running several "hackintoshes". I have more/better hardware choices. :-) The names of the releases/images are deceiving (they're labeled amd64). So for any 64bit hardware, use the FreeBSD-(version-revision)amd64.ext I'd go with 12.1-STABLE, or 12.2-STABLE. There's less churn. So less frequent updates required. Actually, now that I think about it. Pick 12.1-STABLE. If you run into any problems. Let me know. I've been on BSD before it was created -- the DARPA project. So many years. :-)

    TkCVS to TkRCS patch

  • Modified a comment on discussion Open Discussion on TkRev

Sure. It's your project. :-) It just seemed like a more intuitive name. Well at least less misleading than TkCVS. ;-) I've already whipped up a patch last night -- dead simple. Works as intended. I'll submit it in the patch section sometime today. Thanks for all your time, and consideration. --Chris

Given that CVS became far less popular, after the advent of SVN, and now some 90% of projects claiming GIT as their current RCS. Wouldn't TkRCS better reflect this applications' coverage, and use-case -- especially given TkCVS now supports GIT? At this point I can't imagine anyone would believe that TkRCS meant it only supports the original UNIX RCS. :-) I manage the FreeBSD port for this, and I'm pretty sure that when people see the "CVS" in TkCVS, they naturally think it's (only) intended for CVS...

I maintain the filerunner port for FreeBSD. However, I'm finding that versions past ~17.x.x don't work as expected. I'd like to look into this, and make any necessary changes. Then providing patches upstream. But I see there is apparently no RCS/VCS available. Is the source a secret? Why can't others participate in a common form? Thank you for all your time, and consideration. --Chris
