Hi everyone Is it possible to export from Revit to IFC the models (.rvt) linked into a federated model with the project units set into the federated file (different in any model linked)? Example Unit Measure: Length UM set into Linked Model: cm UM set into Federated Model: mm desired UM into IFC: mm Thanks so much, Antonio
I use BIM Vision and BIMcollab ZOOM, in addition to the STR Vision CPM (BIM Module - a Cost Estimate software). Only BIM Vision, of the three viewers mentioned, don't show the complete steel framing.
Thanks Dirk, you have been very clear!!! About your question, the requirement of IFC4RV output is only to define a standard company procedure of IFC export. Regards, Antonio
Thanks Dirk for your answer. I use the 18.4.0 version of IFC Exporter for Revit 2018. What about this version? I just tried the 19.1 version of IFC Exporter for Revit 2019 and it works, but my project is in Revit 2018 version and I need to export model in IFC4RV1.2. Can you help me? Thanks a lot. Regards, Antonio
Hello everyone, I'm tryng to export MEP System from Revit to IFC4 Reference View. The result is so negative because there isn't "System Name" into project tree of IFC structure. The "System name" parameter is into MEP model If I export it into IFC4 Design Transfer View. IFC4 RV don't write IfcSystem entity as IFC4 DTV does. Why? Thanks so much
Thanks Angel, I took your advice, the discussion is here: https://forums.buildingsmart.org/t/custom-pset-from-revit-to-ifc4/1118?u=antuccillo
Hi all, I'm having any problems about "data type" value to write in .txt file. I need to export in IFC file the "Flow" Revit parameter expressed in u.m. m3/s. In IfcMeasureResource schema visible at this link: http://www.buildingsmart-tech.org/ifc/IFC4/Add2/html/link/ifcmeasureresource.htm the Revit parameter "Flow" correspond to "Volumetric Flow Rate" measure. If I write "Real" as data type suggested from "IfcVolumetricFlowRateMeasure" page (http://www.buildingsmart-tech.org/ifc/IFC4/Add2/html/link/ifcvolumetricflowratemeasure.htm)...
Thanks so much
