I assumed you had misunderstood Thomas' issue. The issue is fixed in the repository master branch. But since the deb-package was created before you commited the fix, the problem still persists in the deb-package, which is in the files section.
Of course it works on the git master branch, since you fixed the problem on that (commit 196399ef6ac61aeff40f752daf53b83d59191171). Thomas has pointed out that the bug is still present in the .deb file in the downloads section, since that has not been updated. Grumpy?

Brilliant. Thanks for all the effort that went in this, and the quick bug fix to the MPI/GAMG issue. I am planning to roll this ouit to students and was wondering if the ubuntu1804 deb package will be updated on a regular basis. If not, I'm happy to compile and package a tgz for the students myself, but the debian installation would make things a lot easier. So if there is going to be an updated deb soon, I may delay the rollout. Thanks again. T
