My HP Laptop was UEFI and it worked, its only since I got my nes laptop with an ssd that I have had problems. I now find it easier to simply rebuild my lap top with a script. Keeping all my data far away from the os partitions
I have Just purchased a new Fuji Laptop with a 250gb SSD, I used redo to backu up my Linux Mint 19 Partitions, I then installed a 1G SSD and tried to restore my backups, Redo reported that it could not create the partition table. So I rebuilt my PC. Then tried to use redo to back it up, It showed me two options for my SSD one with the drive name ( nvme0n1) and the other lisitng my linux partitions, when going on to the next step chosing either option NO PARTITONS can be selected. Now using DD
