Thanks for the tip Xavier, I did not recognize using Java 15 in IntelliJ Idea and Java 8 in Eclipse. Changing the JavaVersion to 8 in IntelliJ Idea leads to the same behavior than using Eclipse, so the filtering works. Nevertheless the NullPointerException occurs. It seems to be the same problem as described in the issue above. But what is different in the openJDK 15.0.2?

I often use elements with sub elements that must be selected.
