I am trying to edit the journal shortcuts I captured from my bibliographic database to remove all periods from the shortcuts. In preferences:shortcuts:journals I can select individual shortcuts and delete the periods, but the change is not preserved when I hit the enter or tab keys. Even had this worked, changing shortcuts one by one is inefficient for a large number of shortcuts, I tried opening the file where the journal shortcuts are saved in a text editor (WordPad). I installed all the programs required to run bibus 1.5, but missed the note about also running pywin32_postinstall.py -install. That fixed the problem.

I have encountered the same problem with Bibus 1.5.1 failing ot recognize Word 2016 after reinstalling Win 7x64 on my laptop, despite having run the bug fix describe by elfunesto above. In running the first connection wizard, the program fails to detect win32com, which is installed in the Python26/Lib/site-packages. I've had to go back to version 1.4.3.1 to connect bibus to Word. Can anyone suggest another solution to this problem? Thank you, Terry
