I installed Lunux Mint as instructed, but made it a permanent installation instead of memory only. I attempted to mount the volume with Veracrypt 1.26 but it would not recognize password. I uninstalled Veracrypt 1.26 from the Linux Mint and installed Veracrypt 1.25.9. I attempted to mount as I did in Windows...
Odie, Thank you so very much for the time and effort you put into answering my post. I very grateful. I initially encrypted the partition in Truecrypt several years ago. Then when Veracrypt came out I converted it to Veracrypt encryption. I cannot recall the version of Truecrypt I initially used or the version of Veracrypt that I used when converted. Is there any way of finding out? I suppose I could look through backups over time and see the versions of Truecrypt/Veracrypt that I had downloaded...
Enigma2Illusion, I checked everything and the Veracrypt volume was/is not in Truecrypt format or utilizing one or more of the deprecated items. It will mount in Windows but not in Ubuntu.
Thank you very much! So glad you posted. That is exactly what it is. I will follow the procedures to convert the volume. I really appreciate your time.
