I was able to install the original jtdx into the latest version of linux mint without any problems. But when I downloaded and tried to install the jtdx_improved version I get a dependency error message saying jtdx_improved requires hamlib >=4.5. I've downloaded and installed hamlib 4.5.5 and rebooted but I still get the same error message. I'm somewhat new to linux so what am I not doing, or doing wrong?

I've enabled the "Read and display PWR and SWR" but I don't see it show up anywhere on the main screen when I transmit. I run an ic-7300. Jtdx has a similar feature where it shows PWR and S-Meter and it worked fine. Am I missing something?

I figured it out. The Secure Boot feature in the BIOS was turned on. The other 2 PC's I have which use com-0-com had Secure Boot disabled. As soon as I disabled it on this PC, com-0-com started working fine.

I can install the latest version, 3.0.0.0-i386-and-x64-signed with no install errors. I can open com-0-com and setup new virtual ports, no errors. But in Windows Device Manager I get the following error on all the ports I setup: "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)". This in on...

I'm using the latest Virtualbox version 7 running on a Win11Pro pc. 32g ram, 12 processors, Intel i7 8th gen. I tried to setup a new VM in virtualbox using both Guided mode and Expert mode, used different values of ram, processors, and disk size, it gets through the setup but when I click on the Finish button virtualbox locks up. I've tried it on both a W11 pc and a W10 pc, tried turning off antivirus, the firewall, and the expressvpn I use, nothing seems to made a difference. I can setup VM's for...

Update. Can't get it to install in VirtualBox either. After creating a new VM in Virtualbox and clicking on the Finish button, Virtualbox locks up. I have to end the task in Task Manager, and like before I can install Ubuntu and Mint in Virtualbox without any problems.

Trying to get it installed into a VM using Hyper-v on a Win11Pro pc. All goes well until it finishes installing and reboots. After rebooting it shows a black screen with Andy's Ham Radio Linus in white letters and then does nothing. The Virtual Machine Connection says it running but nothing ever happens. No errors anywhere. I've install both Ubuntu and Mint in VM's in Hyper-v and didn't have any problems.
