I think they would help -- but more importantly, it would help keep the public servers relevant over time, as many more will end up wanting to play music online. Otherwise, like many things on the internet, I see massive fragmentation to other platforms. People will commercialize it, like we see now with JK, others will be facebook groups and discord. The end result is a smaller community. Jamulus has a pretty unique opportunity to be a great go-to list over time, and having a place where all can...
Thank you Gilgongo, and happy holidays to you as well! I appreciate your time on the response. The folks that I have been playing with, all who I met on public servers, we have sessions that run the spectrum of: 'open mic night' to something more serious, or something that we may want to broadcast.. Just like working different size/type venues live, some level of controls are needed to make it work well. Given that we met all on Jamulus, I'd like to keep the door open to meet more, and help some...
Jamulus team, Jamulus has been a great experience for me. Playing and connecting with new people -- and making it through pandemic times... Thank you all for this! I've been hosting a few servers and been noticing a recent uptick in users, which is great for the community. It is also magnifying some issues around controls that would be helpful for server operators -- to help provide the best experience for patrons. While I realize that private servers can be utilized for some cases, I think the public...
Just noticed everything on All Genres vanished -- jamulus explorer shows: No data from jamulusallgenres.fischvolk.de:22224 Thanks, Chris
Thanks - will check it out. I've noticed the same behavior with Jamulus in connected vs/disconnected with ASIO Link Pro. Fortunately you can connect, save a config profile and it will remember subsequently.
need a way to grab the output of the virtual guitar rig. Sounds like you are just hearing the input for some reason,,, Here's what I have learned through some time with Jamulus: multiple interfaces: On windows, unless you have a audio interface with an ASIO driver that supports multiple programs simultaneously ( aka multi-client ASIO -- is rare) -- you can use different interfaces and patch the raw audio from the interface guitar rig is using, to the one Jamulus is using. I'm actually using my onboard...
Thank You Volker. looking at the issue, will this cover mix volumes as well? I believe this type of feature should be for any audio control in the mixer.
Well, in my case, I was experimenting with ASIO link Pro... so, that could be a weak link.. However, it was interesting to see how Jamulus behaved there, and how it was interacting with the driver. It appears not to really access the driver until connected to a server, resetting every time I changed servers... And, it seemed to have an affinity for 1/2..
