The problem persists! Although the note that pops up and causes this problem appears to have no message, I am going to pursue the possibility that it is actually a note that I have assigned a schedule to. So, I am going to try removing the schedule from all notes that have one. If the problem dissapears, then I will add the schedules back. This would at least avoid having to enter all the notes (hundreds) again. Is this a reasonable approach?
Sorry, forgot to answer your second question. If I remember correctly I was not doing anything at all, or was doing word processing or email. In other words, there was nothing that was linked to the event.
