The problem persists! Although the note that pops up and causes this problem appears to have no message, I am going to pursue the possibility that it is actually a note that I have assigned a schedule to. So, I am going to try removing the schedule from all notes that have one. If the problem dissapears, then I will add the schedules back. This would at least avoid having to enter all the notes (hundreds) again. Is this a reasonable approach?

Sorry, forgot to answer your second question. If I remember correctly I was not doing anything at all, or was doing word processing or email. In other words, there was nothing that was linked to the event.

After PNotes has been running for a while, the note below pops up, and clicking on OK just seems to make it repeat. The note is: "SystemNullReferenceException Object reference not set to an instance of an object" I have not found any way to deal with this, and would appreciate some help. Thanks
