Did it look bad without it being resized? The script is written so that the picture is centered. so I'm thinking a black screen around the wallpaper would appear. I'm thinking that there should be some kind of command like when using FEH to set wallpapers. In FEH one scripts it with the flag "-F, --fullscreen" Even in Nitrogen's GUI, you can select it to set the wallpaper to "full screen". I have no way to test it, as all my laptops are 1366x768. Manuel, I've uploaded the plymouth as seen in the video I previously sent. You can download it at https://sourceforge.net/projects/mx-parrot-respin-plymouth/ . There are a few things I need to make you aware of: 1) Firstly, although I put this together to make the Plymouth "my own" & in that sense I created it. Everything I used can be found on the internet & I combined them with the Parrot Plymouth. So I am more like someone who remodels a house rather than someone who builds the house from scratch....

When you extract the Plymouth theme folder, it will be named parrot6alt. Just copy it to your usr/share/plymouth/themes/ folder. The scripts are set up for the directory to be "parrot6alt". Then with the MX boot options gui, select the parrot6alt folder & click on "Apply". Reboot & theoretically it should work. Please forgive me if I've told you what you already know. I just wanted to make sure you understood that the scripts are set up for the folder to be named "parrot6alt".

No problem. I compressed it & it was 59 MB & I couldn't attach it. Let me figure out another way to do it. I was the same way about not changing things. For several years, maybe 12 yrs, I used Linux Mint & never changed a thing, just did my updates. About the time I switched to Parrot OS a few years back, I learned that I could customize the Mate desktop. That opened up a whole new world, of customization for me & I was hooked into making everything my own.
