Hi Anobium Thanks for your answer. My conviction stems from the use of an old version of GCB where the IDE help reported that only byte arrays were allowed. Now I have downloaded version 99. 01 which reports exactly what you wrote. I apologize for the question, I'm sorry. Maybe I should just consider using long variable arrays to solve my problem.

I'm having serious problems with arrays. I'm using PIC18F47k42 N.1 I know that only arrays of bytes are allowed. However when writing: "Dim array(50) as Word" or "Dim array(50) as Long" does not generate a compiler error. Accordingly, the first question: May I have arrays of Word or Long elements? Actually, according to a GCB manual, I'm using only arrays of bytes. N.2 I'm expected that all variables and arrays of a code should be blank before starting any computation. Is this correct? In my code...

Hy Anobium Is it already available for Pi? and where?

Jim Gregory following the URL https://github.com/Anobium/Great-Cow-BASIC-Help/blob/master/source/Pioverview.adoc I have been able to install GCB on Rpi and to compile a GCB code. Unfortunately, following the URL https://www.pedalpc.com/blog/program-pic-raspberry-pi/ I was not able to install Pickle ICSP on Rpi. In particular, following the instructions cd /tmp wget http://wiki.kewl.org/downloads/pickle-4.20.tgz tar zxf pickle-4.20.tgz cd pickle/ make sudo make install I downloaded and unzipped the...

Stan I just said that my attempts to install GCB ton Rpi in the past was unsuccessfull. Accordingly, the previous post by Jim Gregory and than by Anobium solved my problem. As a matter of fact, following the Anobium instructions at the URL https://github.com/Anobium/Great-Cow-BASIC-Help/blob/master/source/Pioverview.adoc I solved my problem, at least up to GCB installation and working on Rpi. This has been the first step i.e. GCB installation and compilation of GCB codes. Giuseppe

Jim Gregory & Anobium, this is a very good new. I was attempting to move GCB to Pizero and Pi400 and these news will be the solution of my problems and they will end my attempts. Furthermore, the incoming Pi PICKItPlus will make possible using Pickit3 avoiding the use of MPLab IPE, not available for PI, at my knowledge. Since Fritzing is already available for Pi, I jus will search for a Pi code for G files, like Flatcam ,to say bye bye to a bigger, power consuming computer. Good Job and many Thanks...

@ Anobium and Kent, Thank you for your answers. Unfortunately it is not how Kent has supposed. I made all the work with the oscillator frequency equal to 8MHz and the SPI parameter baudrate equal to 31. This correspond to a SPI frequency of 128KHz ( according to the the PIC 18F45k42 datasheet, the SPI frequency is given by the formula Freq_Osc/(2(1+Baud_param)) ) , well under the maximum one prescribed by the SD Specifications. At the end of the work, when everything was working with the 15Gb SPY...

@Anobium & Kent Hi All, For a wile I decided to be not concerned with the very serious problems I had with SD Card management. As it can be understand from this thread. I did'nt understand why everything was not warking at all. I was using two SanDisk 2GB , 4GB cards and a PNY 16 GB one, with the micro SD card support of ST7735 GLCD. Without any success!! I read the SD card Specification from the SD Association as well as those from SANDisk and so much internet. No success at all! Recently I bought...
