I found my adc and connected to my linux laptop. I just used the one audio setting hw,0,0. and I can hear the audio on the laptop speakers or headphones. I can pair the laptop with the bt device, but so far haven't got the audio going to it. I think I may have to change some settings in the audio system of the laptop. My system has pulse audio. I haven't done much with it, but I have done some things with alsa in the past, but don't quite remember what or how. I also played around a little with obs....

Thanks for the reply. Just looking at the VLC media/capture device settings I see it is more set up for video although there is an audio setting that has one option on the list hw 0,0. At the moment I don't remember where I put the 3.5 ADC. It is small and I put it someplace safe, but don't recall where. Maybe with it plugged in it might show up as an option. I would like to send an audio signal via bluetooth to another device to plat it. The signal comes from a device with only a 3.5mm audio out. I can run it through and ADC that has a USB C connector. I'd like to connect this to my linux laptop and use the laptop to send the stream via bluetooth to the other device a bluetooth amplifier. The amplifie won't work with and simple 3.5mm to BT adapters I've been able to find. I need to select the BT device which I can do with a smartphone or laptop but not...
