Hi Frank, now i understand your problem. you are not using these file for the altitude correction. (i use them only for this) You want dispaly strm maps like this: https://mytourbook.sourceforge.io/mytourbook/index.php/screenshots/srtm-gallery therefor you need srtm3 files, srtm1 is not supported for that. my srtm3 folder contains 100th of files with this naming style: N35E012.hgt size is always 2818KB you can keep the srtm1 files for altitude correction, but for the maps you must download the 3asec...

yesterday @jFritzle send me a PR to github. With this PR mapsforgesrv is now storing the tiles first in a buffer. now the size is known and send first to the client. So we have fixes on both sides, should safely work ;-) mapsforgesrv 0.17.6 is online now. The screenshot shows mapsforge map with elements theme and hillshading calculated from the server.

Hi Txane, can you provide an "Issue" on github? https://github.com/telemaxx/mapsforgesrv/issues I use the server with MyTourbook, when map is not ok sometimes clearing the cache can help. Has prune-gps such a function? Testing via Browser is a good idea, also the map file should be ok. zoom in/out have you tested, i think. And a complete log of the server startup is interesting.

Hi Wanderfalke, die alte Datenbank zu sichern war schon mal eine gute Idee. Mache ich auch immer für die letzten Versionen. Deinen Fehler hatte ich heute auch, der kam aber nur einmal beim ersten Start der 22.3. Danach nicht mehr. Ich werde erst mal auf 22.3. bleiben. Zur Not den mytourbook Ordner der 22.2.1 wieder herstellen. Dann 22.2 installieren und über die Update Funktion in MT auf 22.2.1 updaten. Aber vermutlich ist das nicht nötig. Telemaxx

I had the problem with java 11. Problem was ,that I used the default setting for the Installation. goto add/ remove programs and select the adopt jdk and select modify. be sure that all 3 checkboxes are set. in my case the one for set java home was missing.

maybe i try this way: create an additional strm1 folder. if an altitude is requested, look in this folder first. When nothing found, look in strm3 and download strm3 when necessary. Implemented in the next MT version

yes, the pink are the strm values. when I would do the correction, the pink would be the same shape as the green. compared to the strm3 the srtm1 curve looks a bit smother to me. it needs some more test, today I I had the first strm1 version running. in the debug output I see that the strm1 is used.

Hi Mick, you are really close to get the thing running. it stays blocked at "listening to localhost" this fine, now the server waiting for tile requests on port 8080. the launching_tcl errors seems to show that you have not downloaded the tcl file. instead you have got the html content of the webpage. if you open the tcl file with an editor it should look like the attachment. try this direct link: https://github.com/JFritzle/Mapsforge-for-MyTourbook/archive/refs/heads/main.zip

thank you, good information´s from Alfred. But the Answer is from 2015, now there are better strm1 available. Not sure Alfred has used LIDAR based datasets for his tests. maybe i try this way: create an additional strm1 folder. if an altitude is requested, look in this folder first. When nothing found, look in strm3 and download strm3 when necessary.

Hi Mick, youre setup looks ok. are you on windows? on windows i have the same result, on linux its ok. the Problem is that VTM, the map engine we using for map2.5, is not working correctly on windows with newer java versions as java8. on linux it is still fine. When i remember correctly @wolfgang-ch has also problems with map2.5 on newer eclipse versions, also only on windows. but there is a good alternative to show OAM in map2: https://github.com/JFritzle/Mapsforge-for-MyTourbook this is a script...

I think "Alfred Barten" has written the STRM Part, i don´t know if he he is active at github. When i use 1" Files, i see that MT is showing totally wrong values. The STRM graph is like an rectangle. seems so that there is somewhere something like a range overflow. @wolfgang-ch: have you contact to Alfred Barten or have you an idea how to fix this?

You can download also the strm from a better source: https://data.opendataportal.at/dataset/dtm-europe and select "DTM Germany 3" v1 by Sonny" MT cant process the 1" files, but the 3" looking also good. these files are based on LIDAR

Compared with a systemwide installed java a "private java" has pros and cons. con is eg a bigger installer, more space on disk for x-times installed javas. more work for installer creation etc. pro is avoiding problems like yours, developer can use his favorite java version etc. i would also like a bundled java.

better attach the log file and not copying in the message. but it seems so that you still use Java 1.8 only a newer version. see line 6 in your message. you need java 11, eg from adopt open jdk.

By the way, what does the F mean in the post? F = Fotos(german) same as P = Photos in english version. shows how man photos are linked Filter: in the Photo view you can give every photo 1-5 stars as rating. with the filter in the map2 view, you can eg say: show only the photos with minimum 4 stars. to switch it off, just click the button again. when switching on, you can select the stars in the popup and also the thumbnail size.

hmm 2) i have just tested it sucessfully with windows 10 and firefox. maybe its a problem with the drag and drop. you can try to save the providers on youre desktop and after unzipping using the import function in mt. i am nearly sure that should work ;-)

Hi frederic, i dont know how to reopen this ticket. maybe its reopened when i write this comment. The Problem is still there. Wolfgang had also confimed. The problem are the map control buttons in the lower left corner of the map. To reproduce (screenshots see 1st post): close and reopen mt. dont click on any menue entry inside 3d view Sreenshot1 : position (hover)mousepointer over one of the 3d map control eg + now you see, that the control did not change the color. and clicking on it is not working....

Hi rudolf, some comments below Some windows like the view menu at time 01:24 is outside the working space. you can avoid this easily. just move the rigth edge of the mt window to the rigth edge of youre monitor.than mt has now chance to open the window outside of mt window. Hi Frederic, i also use always "easy import" for importing my workouts. great function. But it needs some configuration, before it can be used. "1st steps" maybe should only show, how to get fast the 1st results without many configuration. we could give a hint, that there is such a advanced function. @rudolf: nice documentation Thanks, Thomas

i tag my tours with equipment and where i have biked. the eqipment i only tag when i change somethink. then i tag all the old tours with the old equipment at once. the biking area i tag only when i was outside from my "homespot", eg holliday.

JRE 1.8.0 = Java 8 (java had always this confusing version number system) Java 8 was the latest free version. newer versions had a different License. but for non profit, still free. java 8 exists in 2 versions "JDK" and "JRE", JRE is enougth to run java programs JDK is bigger, and only needed for developer. java 13 is always "JDK", no seperated JRE version. to solve the problem with tracks in 3D maps, you can either install newer JDK, or wait for the next mt version. i would wait, because i was not...

no, i am not sure, but this coment sound like that. some weeks ago i saw, thereis a java version 13. so i uninstall java 8 and installed java 13. After doing that, not a single java app was running anymore. so i installed java 8 additionally. java -version shows java 1.8.0_241. the same version, as you using. maybe mt is build for java 9? not sure.

Now i did some more tests: close all perspectives AND views. open Tourbook and 3D map. no track rename the "mytourbook" folder and start from scratch. no track one interesting thing: i also dont see the "map control" "compass" etc but when i switch off the track, i see the missing elements:

Ho Maarten, the messages "problem.png" i had yesterday also once. have you tried: rigthclick on the map -> "reload missing tiles" (in the popup nr.2 from the bottom) the osm tile server are currently really slow. the öpnv map is still fast.
