I know this program is dead, but just for the record, it's got a major memory leak. After a few days, it can use up a few hundred megabytes of RAM in its working set, but also over a gigabyte of commit. 🤦
steelej, you're imposing your habits on others. There is nothing wrong with letting browsers store login data because most of them offer a built-in function like KeePass, allowing the user to enter a master password to access the stored data that is encrypted. And like I said, it's not just websites that people want to store data for, it could be for other things, including completely non-computer stuff (maybe they want to store passwords for their Eyes Wide Shut orgies 🤷). KeePass isn't just a website...

Anyway, I have a proposal to clear everything up. Just add a field called FOOBAR to the main AddEntry dialog and be done with it. Then we can store whatever we want in it without having to jump through hoops to add a custom field in a different...
Yup, -spending- wasting hours trying to figure out how to simply add a field to the entry that pretty much every single entry needs and then giving up because it's a nightmare to figure out how to do it because the program is unusable and the help site is an opqaue mess, is a MUCH better user exerpience than simply adding a field. MUUUUUUUCH better. 🙄 For the record, nobody is asking you to try to figure out which field to use to as the identifier when logging in. The fact is that regardless of what...
Eleven years later, and this is still missing (from version 18.05). 😒 Open an archive, then press F5 to show the extract dialog, and type %temp% in the directory field. Proper programs will automatically (internally) expand that to the temp directory, but 7-Zip tries to create a folder named %temp%, and inside the archive file no less (which of course fails). What is the hold up? Why should users have to go to all the extra trouble of manually typing in long, arbitrary paths instead of just using...
