There is a fork of NSIS on GitHub that does this https://github.com/ywjheart/Nsis64 The process of the developer was documented on their blog https://ywjheart.wordpress.com/2015/12/29/introduce-multi-thread-into-nsis-compression/ I don't have anything to do with it, I just found it after noticing that after upgrading to a way faster CPU, my (de)compression time is about the same as before because of singlethreading
