Thank you, Victor. It works now. However, this build has a new issue - at least for me, jumping from 0.36.3 straight to 0.40.3. With 0.36.3 option --list --ellipsize=POS ellipsizes at three different POSitions: # ls -l /tmp | yad --list --ellipsize=START --column=filename # ls -l /tmp | yad --list --ellipsize=END --column=filename # ls -l /tmp | yad --list --ellipsize=MIDDLE --column=filename but with 0.40.3 it always ellipsizes at the start of the string, no matter the value of POS.

Forgot to mention platform and versions: tested the same behavior on 0.36.3 (GTK+ 2.24.31) 0.39.0 (GTK+ 2.24.31) Linux x86_64
