ok, sorry if that was unclear. what i did: - configured portforwarding on router - tried to connectt via WAN, by public ip of wan side of router - --> issue with trying to connect. these i tried before taking pictures then,.. to exclude router - used 2nd computer on same LAN and used LAN address as shown - exactly same result. these i did posted pictures of. so,.. it indeed looks like a firewall issue. but im puzzled. appearantly connection leaks through "a bit" since connection shows up in server...

thanks answering. i made some pictures. if connected to local host you can see that client on mac works and server shows 127:0.0.1 as client. if i connect from second computer to 192.168.178.22 (being the wired connection of the mac), somehow the server recognizes the incoming connection. you can see it shows 192.168.178.35. but the client keeps "trying to connect". it does not show up in client on mac. note, i also tried from outside by public ip after setting portforwarding. in fact that is how...

Hi, I created a jamulus private server on my Mac. I can connect to it via the same mac as localhost. If i try to connect from external i DO see the incoming connection show-up on the gui of the server but the client keeps "trying to connect". I did troubleshoot to the level that if i try to connect from same local network it still does not work so the router forwarding isn't the problem. I feel that somehow my mac has some firewall that needs opening up but firewall is "off" in preferences. Any ideas...
