Is there any advantage in using "Replay Gain" when ripping a CD (such as in Audiograbber, EAC, Win Media Player etc) , rather that ripping without RG and subsequently using MP3Gain? The results seem quite different, but such programs give a different option - "normalize to 96% (default). The MP3Gain website says these programs use RG. But do they? Thanks Stefan, In Linux Mint install there is the option to install alongside the existing OS, so Mint does the partitioning. Or is this what you mean by Windows doing the partitioning?
