Thanks for your amazing work, and a Happy New Year! -post edited and deleted- Sorry, my stupid mistake. It was a soon-to-expire entry that appeared at startup, as selected (by me...).

As a test, I just deleted this entry (to the Recycle Bin). The issue is solved and KeePass remebers the previously selected Group upon startup. After restoring the entry, the issue reappears. I guess I can try deleting the entry and recreating it.

Example: Just before saving the database, I always select/click my "eMail" group on the left. It's my most used one, and since KeePass always seemed to remember my last selected group upon startup, it was convenient. This no longer occurs, and KeePass always starts by only displaying a very specific single...

Thanks. After testing several times, it seems the issue on this PC is caused by the KeeTheme plugin. The issue occurs when the plugin is installed AND enabled (CTRL-T to enable the Dark Theme). However, I can't figure out why: Issue did not occur at until very recently on this PC. No known changes,plugin updates etc. Issue does not occur on another PC with similar configuration (including the same, enabled plugin).

After turning that off, it does the little flash again and then the UI normally appears immediately to its previous size/position, along with the usual prompt to enter the Master Key. I also tried further reducing the window size (didn't help), since I usually have it set to almost maximized window size (but not actually maximized). I can only think of overwriting the KeePass.config.xml file, taking the one from my other PC which does not have this issue.
