https://superuser.com/questions/610471/how-can-i-encrypt-the-swap-file-under-windows-7/610472#610472 I came across this thread above. If I enable it will I get BSOD? fsutil behavior set encryptpagingfile 1
fsutil behavior set encryptpagingfile 1
Few minutes after enabling, I get BSOD'D.
Thanks for answering. I understand these 2 questions are a bit off topic: If I have an encrypted USB, does it need to be plugged into my PC before I turn it on? If my PC does get BSOD, should I use the Rescue Disk to recover my PC?
can I enable it on an encrypted hdd or ssd that I use frequently without problems?
Nevermind I have managed to update VC. Thanks for your help anyway.
I originally installed it with the MSI installer
VeraCrypt_Setup_x64_1.25.9.msi
Windows 10 Home Version: 21H2 OS build: 19044.1566
Windows 10 Home 21H2 19044.1566
I choose 'Close the applications and attempt to restart them'. Then it asks me to reboot to take effect. I log back in to my computer then open up VeraCrypt, Help -> Version History and it still displays 1.25.4 .
I went to check my VeraCrypt version history (Help -> Version History) and it displays 1.25.4 . I want to update the current latest release of VeraCrypt which is 1.25.9. I have provided images.
