This leads to the question if there is any development activity left at all. This is an amazing piece of software, especially for educational and research purposes, and it would be a shame if it would be abandoned. I tried to get it compiled on Linux (Ubuntu 20.04) but I failed because of Compiler versions and dependencies. Even a port of the simulation kernel to Python would be worth a try.
