This may be obvious to long time users <smile> but a first time use like myself didn't have a missing piece of instruction.</smile> Just putting these together for the first time, I was following the instructions on webpage http://vvvapp.sourceforge.net/network_usage.html. Then I wanted to test the softwares together, so I attempted the Network Usage changes. I am using WIndows 10 desktop for the FB server and VVV on the same host for now but before I went to far I wanted to test it to itself. Eventually...

Oops, sorry. I made an assumption about Win 10, as I was answering many tickets last night and mixed up the OS for your ticket. I am testing with Win7 64-bit but should be close enough to Win 7 32-bit to not make a difference. Have you tried this with a clean install of DC ? And more importantly, with a new empty, clean database? Creating a module should be done in a clean DB, then exported and used in your active DB with data. Not built in your active one, straight out. I will test with the Other...

Hi John, I can't duplicate your failed test case. I have tried twice with new installs of Data Crow, each time. Possibly it is something with Win 10 versus Win 7? I don't have a Win 10 test box right now, so I cannot test this right away. I will see about getting one but I cannot say how soon. Have you tried this with a clean install of DC ? With a new empty install and clean database? So, the questions and answers: Is it a bug? A1 - not as far as I can see. Is there some workaround to have correct...

Hi John, I have done some testing on my Windows 7 box with DC 4.2.2 and I cannot duplicate your scenario that fails. When I follow your test case steps, described above, I get the module that allows me to create new items, which have the 2 new check box fields for Test 1 and Test2 for any new items I add. And the filters work for any variant of filtering I try with Test 1 and/or Test 2 being True and/or False. Did you create a Media module or a Property module. I did my test and your test case steps...

Hi Thomas, I need to run some tests to see what might have happened. Since Data Crow is only a Java program, it is simply a JAR file that gets executed. There is no WIndows install entry in the prgrams section of Control Panel as it does not install anything into the registry or DLL's in system directories, etc ... It is non-intrusive/portable, in that sense. The font file you looked at is 0 bytes in the release kit you donwload, so nothing zerod it out during execution. In order to install a new...

Glad to hear it works for you. Unfortunately, the online searchers are programmatically added, so they need to be hooked-up and created for each module and search site. I know that Robert had been planning to document how to add online services to modules (for developers), but I don't think it ever got finished. I was looking for that myself, actually. It is, however, not possible to add the online services for books to a newly created module. All online services are created for a specific module....
