Hi Rob, I'm updating my SQMPro after a failed Nano. I want to upgrade to a Mega 2560 but I'm a little confused with the new pin layout. I'm new to the Mega 2560, any pointers? Kind regards Steve
Hi Robert, Received a new IR sensor, connected it and fired up the software. It all works perfectly. I can't believe that both the previous sensers were faulty. I cannot thank you enough for helping through this project. It's very talented guys like you that makes this hobby as enjoyable as it is. Again, thanks Robert for all your help. Kendest regards Steve
Hi Robert, Tried reversing the data cables, no joy I'm afraid. I have ordered a new IR sensor and I'll let you know the outcome. Kind regards Steve
Hi Robert, Connected the Sensor to 5v and tried it again with SCL & SDA cables attached and it locked the system and threw up the Time Out issue. Disconnected the data cables, the programme loads and I get a reading from both the object & ambient temps of 1037.55.Unfortunately this does not change when place my hand close to the sensor. Steve
Hi Robert, Replaced the 10K pullups with 4.7K pullups. Didn't eliminate the problem I'm afraid. Steve
Hi Rob, I have two MLX90614 IR modules, photos contained on link attached. Unfortunately I have no details of purchase. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ss0k8gj3ur6pxp9/MLX90614%20IR.jpg?dl=0 Kind regards Steve
Hi Robert, Just a thought. I have the IR sensor connected to the 3v supply and I don't know if it's a 3v or 5v sensor. Would this have an effect. Kind regards Steve
Hi Robert, I've connected the sensors, one by one and they all connect bar one. The IR sensor. When I connected the IR sensor I got the "Time out error on looking for firmware. If I disconnected the SCL & SDA cables on the IR sensor the software loads as normal. BTW with the exception of the IR sensor, all other sensors work as they should.
