When we check free space, we only consider the first 3 chars of the name passed in. So, if a UNC name gets passed in, it gets truncated. Apparently an assumption that the image filename will start with a drive letter. See: call to "spaceAvailable" in mainwindow.cpp.

Thanks for pointing that out. commit deacf4c2ccf4dded003cc730b93311f42817fb67 should handle this oversight.

a more thorough solution for ticket #54 than the previous commit (which was a quick fix). The bug occured because the 'same functionality' was written twice. That functionality has been pulled out into a function to avoid the duplicate code.

I believe (and Tobin can correct me if I'm wrong) that following the first run, it will "start" in the directory that was last used. Checking for a "start in" directory upon first run however, is a thought....
