Updated BIOS. Now Microsoft insist I log into email and make a new PIN and has locked me out of the computer because I used a throwaway email account I don't have access to anymore. Would it be safe to run Kon-Boot on USB? Do I place it right after VeracyptBootloader?

I want to change pass for my HDD which is an old system drive that has to be mounted as "mount partition using system encryption without pre-boot authentication" The problem when I try is that veracrypt warns me that PIM is too low, as it considers this drive to now be a non-system drive I suppose? I'm confused since the PIM I had is fine for system drives, which this HDD techinically is, despite no longer hosting my OS, right?
