I just downloaded it from Steam so I don't understand how it's modified. So you haven't seen an error like this before?

Hi guys, great work on HoT. My problem: one of the maps crashes the game on trying to load: Mazaera level Court of 1000 Warriors. When I try to go to the level I get this in the console: Loading game from c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\hexen 2\data1\meso6.gip... done (no stack) sv_loadeffects: bad type host_error: program error I have tried many times to load the map but always get this error. Any ideas?
