Well. As a last ditch-effort I install windows and to my suprise it did not work there either. So I disassembled the tablet, and the controller board was not properly fixed to the enclosure causing it to shift and connection to the digitizer was lost. It must not have been properly re-assembled when it was refurbished. This bug report should be marked and closed. Sorry for the inconvinience.
