Same with me for DWSim 8.5.1 on Pop OS based on Ubuntu 22.04 Any Wine version. In fact any other version of DWSim behaves the same, during running the simulation, the window gets unresponsive and I have to shut down the application. In fact, the same version of DWSim on the same version of Wine works perfectly fine on any other Arch Distros like Manjaro/ Garuda etc. May be this is not a problem of DWSim itself but some dependency or Wine or something unknown.

I have been a DWSim Wine user for months now, having used it in various Linux platforms like Manjaro, Ubuntu 20.04, Zorin OS etc. My observation is that, whenever I try to run DWSim on a specific Wine version like Development ver. 7.4.x or Stable 6.0 rc or 5.4, it works flawlessly. But it simply crashes on any other version of Wine. This is true with almost all versions of DWSim starting feom 7.4.x onwards upto the latest version and also about all three Linux distros I mentioned above. My problem...

Trying to open latest Version DWSim 8.0.3-Wine on Manjaro WINE, failing to open. Here attached is the Error File Screenshot for reference. I am really frustrated at not being able to make it work. It was working flawlessly on my previous Manjaro installation, but due to other issues, I had to unfortunately reinstall the OS. I did exactly the same thing what was done last time for DWSim to work but it isn't working. Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks.

Electrolyte NRTL will be too robust and heavy Thermophysical property model for Amine Systems. Typically, Commercial simulators use property models like Kent Isenberg or Deshmukh Mather. The theoretical backgrounds for these models are easily available in literature. These models take into account the equilibrium constants and VLE for Acid Gases in the Solvents.

I can see a no. of versions of 8.0.x released for Windows, Mac and Amd64 linux Any possibility of releasing Wine version of the same? Because Linux version does not have Cape Open. Also, for me, I work on a non debian Linux and the Deb version does not compile properly using debtap. I am sure there must be plentya no. of others like me waiting for the Wine release of Ver. 8.0.x. Thanks a lot.

As per the suggestion from Daniel, I tried with v.7.1.2-Wine version on Manjaro and it works perfectly. Unfortunately, when I try to use v.7.3.2 with the same Manjaro, it does not work. On using 7.3.2, the software loads, but whenever I try to open any saved simulation (or try to save a newly created simulation), the software crashes. Please advise because otherwise, I am stuck at using v.7.1.2. Thanks.
