Well it looks like it is an older ZLIB on a warden jail running vFreeBSD 11.0 from FreeNAS pre 11.1: root@WebMin76:/lib # strings libz.so.6 | grep ZLIB ZLIB_1.2.4.0 ZLIBprivate_1.0 ZLIB_1.2.7.0 ZLIB_1.2.7.1 root@WebMin76:/lib # root@WebMin76:/lib # pkg which /lib/libz.so.6 /lib/libz.so.6 was not found in the database so this means the FreeNAS guys are using a version outside the package manager system. I guess I keep asking them to update the library in FreeNAS so RRD tool can work. I bleieve that...
Hi Eric, iocage jails work, Wareden jails do not. I do not know the difference or why on the same box it works with one jail environment and not with another. Yes I also got webminstats to work on FreeBSD 11.1 x64 running in a virutal machine via bhyve on FreeNAS. I know it can work. LOL The file is there, how do I tell what version it is? root@test5:/ # ls -lah /lib/libz.so.6 -r--r--r-- 1 root wheel 93K Sep 28 2016 /lib/libz.so.6 root@test5:/ # ld /lib/libz.so.6 ld: warning: cannot find entry symbol...
I assume this means no upgrading to 1.870 on FreeBSD? I am trying to upgrade from 1.860 to 1.870 and when I allow webmin to do the upgrade this is what I see in the status: Running postinstall scripts .. [Mon Dec 18 20:26:10 2017] run-postinstalls.pl: Use of uninitialized value in split at /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.24/mach/DynaLoader.pm line 69. Now I have it broken again and purged that warden Jail that was working. p5-IO did not help my latest jail test to work. No word over on the FreeNAS forums either. I am guessing I have to ask in the FreeBSD forums as well. I think the issue is the base packages in the FreeNAS 11.1 isntall have different versions and I cannot up or downgrade the versions in the jail.
I think I am running in circles! LOL I just did another install of a warden Jail in FreeNAS 11.1 of FreeBSD 11.0 and with the same steps I could get an error, when I add this one package it seemed to fix the issue: pkg install p5-IO-Zlib-1.10_2 I will do another test and post my steps. I would rather do warden jails as they are MUCH easier to make and pop in on and see what is happening. easier to add storage and might be able to get a DHCP from the LAN as well. ;)
Thanks Eric! I too tested today on a freshinstall of FreeBSD 11.1 x64 via a virtual machine and everyting worked. On FreeNAS 11.1 I used the New GUI and created a jail with iocage and got it to work as well. So the issue is with FreeNAS warden jails and the module that it uses is just too new. I could not install an older version of Perl-CGI(both with iocage and a vm I isntalled pkg install p5-CGI-4.36) With the warden jail the only option was to install pkg install p5-CGI-4.38 and that made things...
do you have smarttools installed and can you query the device from the command line? smartctl -a /dev/nvme0
Hi All, Yep, I am trying to get Webmin System Stats to work in a jail that is running under FreeNAS 11 u4. The jail is from a x64 or x86 FreeBSD 11.1 release template(http://download.freenas.org/jails/11/x64/). Webmin works fine. I think I may have tried this in the past and had it working the first time with no issues. Not sure what my issue is now. I have tried x64 and x86 templates and both have the same error when trying to open "Historic System Statistics" Thanks, Joe Software error: Can't load...
