gscan2pdf needs help parsing output from opencl-enabled tesseract
greetings Jeffrey Ratcliffe: THANKS for writing & maintaining gscan2pdf, i've been using it since the summer of 2008! there is no LANGUAGE variable set on this system by default; but LANG is set by default: ~ $ set | grep LANG= LANG=en_US.UTF-8 i tried setting LANGUAGE like this: export LANGUAGE=en_US:en_UK:en_AU and that allows gscan2pdf 2.9.0 to start without complaint. Gentoo linux (and the one Debian linux system i have) do not seem to set a LANGUAGE environment variable by default: ~ $ locale...

v2.9.0 - Error message about missing packages, empty locale. But Locale::Codes is installed.
