    FFmpeg includes hevc decoder, I'm not sure if it needs to enable external library x265 to encode hevc. I also tested mtn on x265 file (*x265.HEV-PSA.mkv) and it works. Please, send me mtn's output via email.

    My first attempt to build a static version of mtn (includes FFmpeg and GD only) is mtn-3.0-static-x86_64.tgz . It’s quite big, not sure if it’s useful :)

    I think it is a good enhancement. I will look for patches around here and add those switches to my source…

    why static compile? It is not against LGPL? (FFmpeg is licensed under the LGPL). I have done some patches on old mtn source code and now it is able to compile. Have a look, maybe it is worth it...

    don't know about Raspberry Pi...linux (fedora25) and windows (win7) compiled just today. Needed to update Makefile according to my FFmpeg and GD library... Have a look at mtn, maybe it helps
