Burned a CD of 2.5.2-19 AMD64 and found that the 'To RAM' mode worked! So I will report this to YUMI https://www.pendrivelinux.com/yumi-multiboot-usb-creator/. Some change between 2.5.0-25 and 2.5.2-17 is not handled correctly by YUMI it appears.
"To RAM. Boot media can be removed later" last worked in version 2.5.0-25. It fails in 2.5.2-17 (and -19 as well). There may be other intermediate releases but I don't know where to find them to test them.
