on 1.6.8.10 I mean the EQ.. get peace and APO eq mixed up. because the APO eq app is named peace and on the program header as well.
ill try those startup settings remember them from a while back but thought it was just to get the main device onboard. I actually froze my windows 10 updates over year ago and peace used to work. Was fedup of things breaking, then worry about more of the same. And nothing bad has happened with windows as long as have antivirus and update chrome. It actually gave me more peace of mind. Now I just need to get peace working to enjoy music and the peace of disabling windows updates lol So can i roll...
where do i start trying to figure this out. The sound hearing test works, the laptop is set to headphones. and on the peace EQ page I can see the level meter working and the peace volume works. This means the sound for player apps goes through peace and comes out headphones. But none of the EQ and pre-amplify or on off switch does anything. Have used this app for 8 years so bit mystified. On latest version on win 10, onboard realtek audio
Actually if there are enough users then a list of working windows multichannel soundcard for hifi use would be good. Often such lists are made in other pro audio forums for different applications for the same issue, just so people know what they can get which works without having to constantly guess and buy, send stuff back if its no good. I thought there were loads of hifi builders out there using peace, because there doesnt seem to be much other software out there that does the same thing for multichannel...
surprised here.. I was imagining the developer of this complex software had put togeter a big multichannel hifi with top of the line 10 channel 96khz thunderbolt audio interface
what type of card do you use ?
Hi fellow Peace users I was using peace to run crossover and EQ for a 3 way stereo hifi (plus a sub) so 7 channels are required, but windows updates killed both my multichannel solutions. The common issue was that for these 7.1 cards to enable all the channels requires the driver to over-ride windows standard configurations in some way. On one card one of the output channels can double as an input channel, on another one 5.1 is the windows default for this card and if the cards drivers over-ride...

Actually a clue just arrived after I posted this.. I noticed in audio devices an asus program called sonic studio which is some type of virtual mixer that could potentially interfere with APO routing. Its given me hope if I can get rid of it. Has anyone experience of this ? from another forum - minus the swearing, but I understand the frustration. https://www.reddit.com/r/ASUS/comments/rwsed3/sonic_studio_virtual_mixer/ " Asus. Without even asking, you changed all Playback device settings and added...
Am having an aggrivating time with APO on my new windows 10 AsusB550 Ryzen motherboard. Been weeks now.. If I cant solve it then I may just have to buid a rack full of regular active analog crossovers, analog EQ etc. I had it working for years on other windows 10 systems as a hifi crossover so am familiar with it, but now I cannot get any sound to route through it all on this B550 motherboard testing it with two different audio systems, The first an Asus Xonar U7 8 channel (which still works through...
