Thank you for the quick help - I could follow your hints , and I have now the "old" key available when I click on "enigmail"->Schlüssel verwalten Unfortunately, when I try to read an old encrypted mail, emigmail asks for the pasphrase. It is more than 1 year that I used enigmail the last time - I don't even remember that I needed a passphrase on top of the private key. I guess that now I have to set up a new set of keys, and forget about the old keys. Could you please just give me a short notice...
My problem is that I can not import my certificate into my new installation of Thunderbird/enigmail. I do have a revoke certificate (*rev.asc") but I did not export the certificate from the old Destop PC. The reason for that is that that the old PC stopped working unexpectedly (power supply unit broken), so I didn't have time to export the certificate/ key-pairs. But I do have access to the hard disk drive of the old PC. The old installation was on Windows XP, the new installation is on Windows 10....
