W10 18362. Latest version with windowed borderless app. There's a border around the window which I don't get using "borderless gaming". Not sure if this is dxwnd or the app...

It's still happening and I did a handles search with process hacker for cygwin* Only transmission-daemon uses it. I am clueless as to why this is happening?

Tried both 32 and 64 bit versions on windows 7. I occasionally see the cpu use spike with the remote GUI unresponsive. Disk use is zero and network use is zero during this time. Using process hacker, I see the thread that is culpable for this use: cygwin1.dll!lfind+0x3c50 Any idea what causes this?

The preallocation issue isn't happening now in the latest Dec update. I don't think that was changed but maybe some windows update on win7 x64 was making the allocation system act up?

Ok it seems like this only happens when I changed the file from high/medium/or low to do not download... thats when it moved from the "incomplete" folder and started the whole write, slowww to do 47GB! heheh

Mode 4 for forced in the settings.json doesn't work. Just now I had it get stuck on allocating a 47GB file and my preallocation is set to 0. It doesn't actually allocate the whole file but parts, but during this process it locks up the ability to interact with the daemon.
